The Senior Treasury Funding & Liquidity Analyst supports unsecured debt capital markets funding programs and related hedge transactions for Toyota's domestic and international finance companies. This role involves managing direct funding relationships, executing capital market transactions, and enhancing operational workflows. As well as performing functions for TMCC and other SFC's, the senior analyst will be responsible for funding TFSB and private label groups. In addition, this position will assist in managing internal and external investment portfolios by executing securities transactions, performing investment manager evaluations, compliance and risk monitoring, and asset allocation analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Research, source, and market Toyota debt products directly to U.S. institutional investors and assist the region in meeting its daily funding goals as mandated.
  • Coordinate with Region Manager on presentations and investor/client review meetings (portfolio managers, traders, and/or credit/research analysts) to ensure continued client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Execute debt issuance and cross-currency swaps to achieve competitive funding costs and ensure all trades are compliant with TFS and TFSB policies/procedures.
  • Identify and understand client objectives and risk tolerance within their investment policy.
  • Implement resolutions to trade disputes, create and maintain all required documentation for region activity.
  • Execute securities transactions pursuant to TFS and TFSB investment policy, maintain adequate liquidity and maximize investment return.
  • Research and monitor fixed-income sectors for relative value investment opportunities, which include U.S. Treasury & Agency Notes, Mortgage-Backed Securities, Corporate Notes, Asset-Backed Securities, Certificates of Deposits, and other money market instruments.
  • Analyze global macro-economic data to enhance the investment portfolio returns and provide senior Toyota executive updates (Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), Board presentations, Management Committees, Investment Working Group, and others).
  • Project leadership for new debt products, currency & interest rate hedging, contingent sources of liquidity, bank credit/relationship management, investment research, technology, and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with Region Manager on developing sales/marketing strategy, region performance and trading activity.
  • Execute regional marketing strategy to increase distribution of Toyota fixed income products and investor awareness.
  • Update periodic investor relations materials for the Internal teams, the TFS website, industry conferences, and for client presentations.
  • Identify operational/workflow inefficiencies and implement formal/informal process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to senior management for funding and investment strategies; work on special projects as directed.
  • Provide input into staffing needs, coaching, cross-training other team members, engaging in professional and self-development activities.
