About The Position

Reporting to the Director, Treasury, the Treasury Associate is primarily accountable for ensuring that all daily and monthly cash transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. He/she will also assist with the execution of the Company's cash operations processes, including the preparation of bank and general ledger cash entries, and will support daily bank operations among other critical cash management activities.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in treasury/cash accounting preferred– experience in the insurance sector a plus
  • Familiarity with electronic banking systems, ACH/wire payments, and bank reconciliation preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP system experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily cash management activity, including all daily banking transactions, day-to-day management of bank accounts, monitor the Treasury Inbox – research inquiries, Stop payments etc.
  • Proper and timely recording of cash transactions in the general ledger
  • Complete daily/weekly cash accounting transactions, including daily banking transactions and support monthly management of bank reconciliation accounts accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries for accounting closing process.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves discrepancies based on extensive research and analysis of related cash activity.
  • Manage high volume of cash receipts via lockbox, allocating receipts to multiple insurance companies
  • Prepare and support the daily cash receipts report for distribution to management and internal clients
  • Support the development of strong processes and controls within cash management activities
  • Support the development and monitor of operational metrics
  • Complete various ad-hoc requests
