About the position

The Treasury Analyst at Rack Room Shoes plays a crucial role in managing cash activities, preparing reports, and conducting financial analysis. This position is integral to the Treasury/Banking department, reporting directly to the Treasury Manager. The analyst will be responsible for daily cash position reporting, bank reconciliations, and maintaining banking relationships, ensuring accurate financial operations within the company.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of daily cash position report and record daily cash activity to general ledger
• Conduct bank reconciliations and review store depository account activity
• Perform bank fee analysis and research positive pay exceptions
• Assist in new store bank account set-up and maintain existing banking relationships
• Process cash transactions via wire transfer or ACH in accordance with company policy and process the associated accounting entries
• Create and update reports using Oracle Financials, Excel & database query tools
• Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed
• Assist in the monthly close

Requirements

• Minimum two year degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred
• Minimum of two years' experience in cash management, accounting or financial analysis
• Experience in retail industry a plus
• Experience using Treasury software a plus
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office desired (emphasis on Excel)
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely & accurate fashion
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
