About The Position

MONTICELLOAM, LLC and its affiliates (“Monticello”) is a real estate and asset-based lender providing asset management and comprehensive capital solutions for healthcare, multifamily, and commercial real estate assets throughout the US. We are looking for a Treasury Analyst/Associate for our New York City office. The primary responsibilities and qualifications include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, banking, or cash management.
  • Familiarity with Kyriba or similar treasury workstations/ERP systems required.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, KYC processes, and control agreements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial data tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with a desire to learn and grow within the commercial real estate finance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain new bank accounts across corporate, borrower, investor, reserve, and working capital entities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and banking partners to complete KYC and onboarding documentation including any account control agreements such as DACAs, DAISAs, or cash management accounts. Ensure control agreements have been adequately implemented by the bank post agreement execution.
  • Ensure accounts have been added to Monticello’s treasury management platform, Kyriba ensuring reporting and payments processing are available.
  • Ensure the account is setup to earn the agreed upon rate of interest and any bank fees are determined and approved by Monticello leadership
  • Once an account is no longer needed / in use, ensure any control agreements are terminated and the account is closed as required
  • Support the treasury component of loan closings, including account setup, wiring instructions, settlement statement review, and funding coordination.
  • Partner with asset management, loan operations, and legal to ensure proper documentation for controlled accounts and funding flows.
  • Oversee execution of post-closing cash movements related to borrower, investor, and reserve accounts.
  • Work closely with Underwriters and the MAM Closing team leading up and on the day of a closing to fund new loans
  • Work with internal stakeholders and Monticello’s Fund Administrators to coordinate payment setup, approval, and release across recurring and ad hoc corporate, investor, borrower and reserve entity accounts, including remittance to external stakeholders such as participants, warehouse lenders, and investors.
  • Ensure all accounts payable submissions are approved and remitted for payment timely, confirming vendors have been approved by firm management with any payables detailed fully completed.
  • Execute recommended daily sweeps, adhering to strict cut-off times for corporate and fund level activities
  • Review and monitor bank fees billed to various accounts.
  • Manage and maintain banking relationships with multiple financial institutions through the use and ownership of the Kyriba.
  • Ensure the complete and accurate population of accounts are reporting effectively and any payments challenges are quickly assessed and resolved to completion.
  • Assist with user administration and payment workflows.
  • Manage bank portal access where required
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to optimize data flow between Kyriba and other systems.
  • Help to design, create and manage bank reporting dashboards prepared daily, weekly, monthly, ad hoc, providing visibility into liquidity, balances, cash forecasting and transactions across banks, borrowers, investor, and corporate entities.
