Global Treasury, a segment of the American Express Finance group, is responsible for providing a balance sheet that provides a competitive advantage for the company. This includes managing liquidity and capital to support our business; delivering cost-effective, diverse, and resilient funding; and identifying, measuring, and addressing financial and operational risks. Global Treasury Operations, a segment of Global Treasury, ensures AXP has the right amount of money, at the right time, in the right place, in the appropriate currency to fulfill its financial obligations when they become due. The Cash Management team is responsible for processing and the control of cash flows across the company along with the design, implementation, and reporting of the cash flow forecast and intraday cash flow processes.
