About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on hyperscale data center projects nationwide. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals who excel in fast-paced environments and are committed to delivering high-quality, complex infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in commercial construction, preferably on large-scale or complex projects.
  • Proven ability to lead field teams and manage subcontractor performance.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, construction scheduling, and cost estimation.
  • Experience managing field operations across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work on remote job sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data center construction or other mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management platforms.
  • Background in Lean construction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-construction planning, including crisis management strategies, site logistics, safety protocols, and site-specific rules and regulations.
  • Manage and oversee all field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers assigned to the project.
  • Conduct daily coordination meetings, facilitate weekly work plans, and manage job site logistics and material deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to develop, manage, and adjust project schedules.
  • Participate in subcontractor selection, generate RFIs, and oversee procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Implement and manage Quality Control plans in coordination with QC and PM teams, including documentation in platforms such as Procore (e.g., Pre-Install Plans, Inspections, Observations, Punch Lists).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date on-site documentation, including drawings, logs, and inspection records.
  • Ensure budget alignment for labor, materials, and equipment; support cost tracking and forecasting with the PM team.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including punch list completion, commissioning, final inspections, and owner training.
  • Provide leadership in Lean construction methodologies, including Pull-Plan sessions and standard work practices.
  • Promote a safe job site environment through safety meetings, orientations, and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and Lean practices.
