About The Position

The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing construction projects across Texas, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the company's quality standards. This role involves daily coordination of site activities, safety management, and communication with trade contractors and project managers. The position requires regional travel, with housing provided for out-of-town projects, and includes a vehicle allowance and gas card.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of construction experience as a lead superintendent.
  • Proficient in the use of Outlook, Email, and scheduling programs such as Procore.
  • Possess and maintain a current Driver's License within TX.

Responsibilities

  • Project set up including plan for site access, staging areas and security.
  • Jobsite office set up and organization including posting of all permits and regulations.
  • Organize, maintain and update construction documents/field drawings.
  • Develop a project schedule in conjunction with the PM and review monthly.
  • Keep the PM informed on all scheduling changes and problems that could impact scheduling or cost.
  • Review Project Documents for accuracy.
  • Organize and manage day to day site activities with trade contractors.
  • Coordinate with local authorities regarding regulations and required inspections.
  • Organize and chair weekly meetings with trade contractors.
  • Draft a three week 'look ahead' schedule with trades.
  • Coordinate in advance of all work items and confirm supplies/materials will be delivered on time.
  • Notify PM of any issues or potential delays.
  • Order, schedule and coordinate delivery of construction purchased materials and equipment.
  • Ensure work is being completed on schedule to specifications and documents.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work site and adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Provide punch list in writing to trade contractor in conjunction with PM or PE.
  • Secure all final inspections and certificates and forward originals to the main office.
  • Maintain professional communication with trade contractors, owners, architects, etc.
