About The Position

Lead high‑impact Major Component Exchanges and project‑based turbine work as a Traveling Sr. Foreman in our Wind Services group. This role puts you at the center of the industry’s most critical field operations—gearbox swaps, generator replacements, up‑tower repairs, and other major interventions that keep wind farms producing at peak performance. You’ll direct crews, coordinate complex lifts, and ensure every project meets the highest standards of safety, precision, and efficiency. Your experience in wind‑turbine maintenance and mechanical systems will guide technicians through challenging work across a variety of sites and conditions, representing Beitzel Corporation with confidence and professionalism. The work is dynamic and fast‑moving, with schedules that shift based on project needs and locations. Flexibility is key, as you’ll support field operations wherever they’re happening and step in when timelines demand extra commitment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of wind turbine related experience required
  • Possesses a current GWO ART (Global Wind Organisation Advanced Rescue Training) Certification or other Advanced, Wind Service Specific Certification required
  • Possesses a mechanical aptitude with prior experience in commercial/industrial mechanical fields required
  • Experience with effectively troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components and systems required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform installation of wind turbines, including the assembly of components such as blades, nacelles, and towers
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure the turbines are operating efficiently to include lubrication, filter changes, and checking for wear and tear on components
  • Conduct and lead regular inspections of wind turbines to identify any potential issues to include visual inspections and the use of diagnostic tools to check for mechanical and electrical problems, etc.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with wind turbines to include interpreting error codes, using specialized tools and software, and following technical manuals to pinpoint problems, etc.
  • Communicate and coordinate with on-site customers as needed
