About The Position

A Smile 4 U Dentistry is Growing! We're looking for an upbeat, professional, and reliable Traveling Dental Assistant to join our multi-specialty practice, serving patients of all ages in Decatur, GA . If you have experience assisting with IV sedation and oral surgeries , we encourage you to apply today! Position Type Part-Time / Full-Time: 3-4 days per week

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service and strong computer skills

  • Dental assisting experience in IV sedation and oral surgery
  • Excellent chairside manner
  • Adaptability to different techniques and patient needs
  • Ability to work under pressure and strive for growth
  • Commitment to following policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, including IV sedation and oral surgeries
  • Explain office procedures to patients prior to treatment
  • Provide compassionate care before, during, and after treatment
  • Manage patients during procedures
  • Accurately chart pre-existing conditions and input progress notes
  • Deliver post-op instructions following surgery or restorative procedures
  • Take impressions for study casts
  • Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Take and develop x-rays; collect and record health histories
  • Serve as infection control officer: develop protocols and sterilize equipment
  • Monitor and follow up on equipment and handpiece repairs
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly tasks (e.g., autoclave testing, trap cleaning)
  • Assist with monthly supply orders
  • Support recall and treatment plan reports when requested
  • Adhere to all government and company regulations
  • Provide direct patient care across specialties including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery
