About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-time Traveling Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Danville Correctional Center located in Danville, Illinois. Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.

Requirements

• Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Illinois.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital, correctional facility or long-term care facility preferred.
• Minimum of one year of travel nursing experience preferred.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients.
• Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to assess and respond to patient needs.
