Begin a rewarding career today and envision yourself at work with Stratosphere Quality. 2nd Shift - Traveling Team Leader Pay Rate: $19.00 / HR Schedule: 2nd shift, 10-hour shifts with occasional overtime Location: Smithville / Cookeville, Tennessee area with travel required to various job sites Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Lead to oversee quality inspection teams across multiple manufacturing and warehouse locations. This role includes hands-on leadership, project coordination, and regular travel to customer sites where parts are produced or stored. Team Leads are responsible for setting up projects, managing customer expectations, and ensuring all team members are performing to required standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining communication between customers, inspectors, and internal leadership while ensuring quality and safety compliance at all times.

Requirements

  • Prior team leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Strong adaptability and flexibility with travel expectations

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support inspection teams across assigned job sites
  • Ensure all work is completed according to safety, quality, and customer requirements
  • Travel to manufacturing plants and warehouses to supervise inspection activities
  • Develop work instructions and train inspectors on proper procedures
  • Serve as interim lead when the project supervisor is unavailable
  • Inspect parts and verify quality standards are met
  • Ensure all tools, gauges, and equipment are properly issued and maintained
  • Maintain clear communication with customer and site contacts
  • Complete required documentation throughout project duration
  • Participate in ongoing training and follow company policies
