About The Position

Trigo is seeking a Part Time Traveling Quality Inspector in the Ottumwa, IA area. Pay is $18hr. and 1st sh ift MUST BE BASED NEAR OR AROUND Ottumwa IA. Overall Purpose The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances. May Report to Site Manager

Requirements

Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies
Must be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies
In proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery
Demonstrated knowledge of tools, practices, and industry quality standards
Demonstrated expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint
Understanding of database principles and knowledge of MS Access

Responsibilities

Check/inspect manufactured parts or products for defects
Read and follow work instructions and general processes
Use measuring or testing equipment as needed
Ensure products meet quality standards
Bring parts into compliance by de-burring, de-rusting, grinding, etc.
Utilize gages and other measurement tools
Display excellent customer service
Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies
Collect and record data
Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements
Any other duties as assigned
