About The Position

The Senior Scheduling Engineer develops, maintains, and analyzes project schedules within a market segment and reports variances. This role involves developing proposal and pre-construction schedules, participating in project kickoff and startup meetings, and working with the project team to develop the Project Execution Plan and Baseline Schedule. The Senior Scheduling Engineer ensures that work follows contract documents and company policy, facilitates Planning Meetings and Scheduling Workshops, and loads resources into schedule activities with tiebacks to the project estimate. Additionally, the role includes collecting status information, analyzing performance, identifying potential schedule risks, and documenting changes and adverse conditions. The position also involves developing and maintaining 4D Models and performing productivity analysis for projects. The Scheduling Engineer may reside anywhere in the United States but must be willing to be stationed at any project site across North America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some exposure to construction logistics, techniques, materials, equipment, crew sizing, and sequencing is preferred.
  • Experience with multiple construction market types (healthcare, automotive, civil, industrial, sports facilities, etc.) is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops proposal and pre-construction schedules.
  • Participates in project kickoff and startup meetings.
  • Works with project team to develop the Project Execution Plan and Baseline Schedule.
  • Facilitates Planning Meetings and Scheduling Workshops.
  • Loads resources into schedule activities with tiebacks to the project estimate.
  • Collects status information and enters it into the schedule.
  • Reviews and records physical site conditions.
  • Analyzes and reports changes to critical path and significant variances.
  • Suggests ways to optimize project schedules.
  • Identifies and analyzes potential schedule risk events.
  • Documents all changes and adverse conditions for claims avoidance.
  • Participates in regular schedule reviews with the project's responsible scheduler and Financial Manager.
  • Develops and maintains 4D Models for projects.
  • Performs productivity/production analysis for projects.
  • Acts as a resource for scheduling training of team members.
