About The Position

At West Coast Dental & Orthodontics, we are dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to children in a friendly and welcoming environment. We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team on Sundays. Position Overview: We are seeking Pediatric Dental Assistants, Patient Care Coordinators and Receptionists to support our pediatric dental office operations on Sundays. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to delivering high-quality care and service.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Dental Assistant (preferred).
  • Experience in a pediatric dental setting (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using dental office software and scheduling systems.
  • Friendly and professional attitude.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or dental office setting (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in using office software and patient management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays.
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Greet patients and families with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar.
  • Handle phone calls and respond to inquiries.
  • Process patient check-ins and check-outs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Coordinate patient care activities and ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Provide support to the dental team as needed.
