About The Position

At PDS Optical, we are committed to delivering exceptional eyewear and outstanding service to our Veterans. We're seeking an experienced optician to join our team as a travel optician out of the Houston, TX VA and help us uphold our mission of providing GREAT Veteran CARE! Travel would be anywhere in the US and US Territories!

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of optician experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Skilled in fitting, adjusting, repairing, and selling eyewear.
• Proficient in using lensometers, pupilometers, and computers.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused.

Nice To Haves

• ABO Certification is preferred or must be attainted within two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to Veterans.
• Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
• Work collaboratively to foster a positive and productive environment.
• Comply with security clearance requirements by successfully passing a background check.
• Travel to various locations as required without exception.
