About The Position

The Palo Alto engineer will be responsible for administration and configuration of Palo Alto. The primary focus for the candidate will be managing firewall policy using Panorama and Tufin. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting IPSEC configurations, Palo Alto hardware and virtual firewall platforms, global protect, and collaborating with IT Security to mitigate security vulnerabilities and other duties as assigned.

Experience with Palo Alto firewall virtual routers and routing policy using BGP as the primary routing protocol.
Proven troubleshooting skills
Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and constantly changing environment, while being able to set priorities and balance multiple deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present information in clear, concise terms to all position levels in the organization, as well as business partners, vendors and technical staff.
Ability to work on a team or independently with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines. Knows how to escalate appropriately, efficiently, and effectively.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills; able to manage a complex project independently, while functioning effectively under time constraints, established deadlines and within budget.

Responsibilities

Managing firewall policy using Panorama and Tufin
Supporting IPSEC configurations
Supporting Palo Alto hardware and virtual firewall platforms
Supporting Global Protect
Collaborating with IT Security to mitigate security vulnerabilities
Maintain systems and documentation as needed for audits and compliance.
Collaborate with IT Security departments to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with other staff and departments to meet department and project deadlines.
Use ITIL process and procedures for change, incident, and problem management of perimeter network environments.
