Traveling MIG Welder
About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling MIG Welders for projects located in or around Milwaukee, WI. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $24/hour based on experience plus $100/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope: MIG welding Welding Ibeams, frames & fuel tanks in flat/overhead positions Welding sheet metal from 10 gauge up to 1 inch Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts Weld, position & secure work pieces using hoist cranes, wire & banding machines or hand-tools Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
Requirements
- Must pass various weld test, competency test, math test, drug screen and physical
- Must be able to run one bead over side without stopping
- Must be able to read measuring devices
- Must have GMAW, MIG/MAG experience
Responsibilities
- MIG welding
- Welding Ibeams, frames & fuel tanks in flat/overhead positions
- Welding sheet metal from 10 gauge up to 1 inch
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts
- Weld, position & secure work pieces using hoist cranes, wire & banding machines or hand-tools
- Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
