About The Position

This full-time position requires travel between Rapid City, Box Elder, Hot Springs, Spearfish, Lead, & Newell, SD. If you like to fix things and/or have remodeling experience and are looking for a full-time position, we have a great opportunity! The Maintenance & Grounds Technician is responsible for assisting the Site Manager in performing all duties and functions required for the efficient operation of their apartment and townhome communities. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of apartment and townhome communities. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must ensure the proper operation of all appliances, heating and cooling units, and light fixtures.

Requirements

• Must have hand tools to use on the job site.
• Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Desire and ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Must be willing to be in a rotation for after-hours on-call.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous remodeling or construction experience.

• Must be willing to use personal vehicle for traveling between properties/communities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, dry wall, appliance repairs, improvements, and other maintenance duties.
• Get units rent ready when they are vacated.
• Complete sidewalk snow removal for 2” or less.
• Maintain the grounds by picking up trash, maintain trash receptacles, and pull weeds every week.
• Perform inspections of grounds and tenant units with the Site Managers and/or Regional Managers.
• Provide efficient customer service to residents.
