Traveling Field QA/Food Safety Inspector
About The Position
Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Traveling Field QA/Food Safety Inspector at our Cal Organic location, Responsible for the monitoring of product quality during growing and harvesting. Requirements
- Computer knowledge of Excel and Word, required.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills needed, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Must possess the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to travel out of Kern County area throughout the week, when necessary, required.
- Must work in the Coachella area for approximately four months out of the year during entire winter harvest season. (Housing or housing allowance is provided by the company).
- No vacations (PTO) will be allowed during this time and excessive unexcused absences will result in either end of assignment or transfer back to Lamont.
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, required.
- Ability to work various shifts, required.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish, required.
- Remote work not available for this position.
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean DMV driving record.
- Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.
Nice To Haves
- College degree in Biology, Food Science, or related field/farming knowledge/experience, preferred.
