About The Position

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Traveling Field QA/Food Safety Inspector at our Cal Organic location, Responsible for the monitoring of product quality during growing and harvesting. Requirements

  • Computer knowledge of Excel and Word, required.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills needed, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel out of Kern County area throughout the week, when necessary, required.
  • Must work in the Coachella area for approximately four months out of the year during entire winter harvest season. (Housing or housing allowance is provided by the company).
  • No vacations (PTO) will be allowed during this time and excessive unexcused absences will result in either end of assignment or transfer back to Lamont.
  • Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, required.
  • Ability to work various shifts, required.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish, required.
  • Remote work not available for this position.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean DMV driving record.
  • Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in Biology, Food Science, or related field/farming knowledge/experience, preferred.
