Traveling Field QA/Food Safety Inspector

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality during growing and harvesting.
• Travel out of Kern County area throughout the week, when necessary.
• Work in the Coachella area for approximately four months out of the year during the entire winter harvest season.

Requirements

• Computer knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean DMV driving record.
• Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.

Nice-to-haves

• College degree in Biology, Food Science, or related field.
• Farming knowledge/experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish.
