About The Position

The Traveling Exhibits Fabrication and Props Intern at Minnesota Children's Museum will assist the Traveling Exhibits team in creating and implementing a new component for the exhibit 'Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice'. This internship provides hands-on experience in exhibit fabrication and maintenance, contributing to a stimulating environment for children's learning through play.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge or experience with basic sewing skills (hand stitching, sewing machine, etc.)
  • Knowledge or experience with painting

Responsibilities

  • Assist in loading in/out traveling exhibit to MCM
  • Assist with fabrication and installation of 'Floor is Lava' in the Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice exhibit
  • Assist with fabrication of exhibit components
  • Clean, repair and maintain existing components and props
  • Other duties as assigned
