About The Position

The Operations Specialist - Traveling Executive Director at Brookdale Senior Living is responsible for overseeing multiple senior living communities across the Midwest and East Markets. This role involves a 10-day on, 4-day off travel schedule, providing temporary management support during vacancies, start-ups, or special projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in executive leadership within senior living environments, focusing on enhancing customer and associate satisfaction while ensuring operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• 3-5 years of related experience in senior living management.
• Valid driver license and access to a private vehicle for business use.
• Must be licensed according to state requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Microsoft software.
• Experience in healthcare management.

Responsibilities

• Assist directors of CCRC's, retirement communities, or assisted living residences with supervision and management on a temporary basis.
• Support a Regional Vice President with special projects as needed.
• Conduct operations to uphold and improve customer satisfaction, associate satisfaction, occupancy, culture, and operational effectiveness.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified staff and maintain a positive team atmosphere.
• Provide assistance in marketing, outreach, resident admissions, assessments, and discharge procedures.
• Conduct associate performance reviews and assess training needs for staff.
• Resolve budget discrepancies and variances.
• Address issues identified by residents and their family members.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of residence buildings and grounds, performing routine safety inspections as needed.
• Organize and conduct service plan reviews and supervise maintenance of resident charts.
