As a Traveling Driller at Cascade Drilling, LP, you will play a crucial role in our operations by operating drill rigs and drilling equipment with high proficiency. This position requires a commitment to safety and excellence, as you will be responsible for maintaining daily drilling reports, ensuring that equipment is in safe working condition, and conducting routine and preventative maintenance as needed. You will lead a drilling crew, training and mentoring employees while maintaining a safe working environment. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). You will be expected to approve employee timesheets, complete well logs, logbooks, repair orders, tailgates, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, all while promoting positive and professional relationships with team members and clients. The position offers a unique opportunity for travel, with our West Jordan location requiring travel approximately 60% of the time. You will work on various projects along the Wasatch Front and in more remote parts of Utah and neighboring states. The typical work schedule is '6 Days on / 1 Day off', with workdays ranging from 10 to 12 hours. Occasionally, travel on weekends may be required. For traveling employees, we provide a private hotel room at no cost and a per diem to cover expenses.
