TEKsystems has a large enterprise client that is in need of a Traveling Data Center Technician with 7+ years of dedicated DC Experience. This team will be handling troubleshooting of large GPU deployments inside an enterprise DC environment. Milwaukee will be home base but this role will be planned travel to different data centers throughout the country at times. Summary: Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission Run/Label/Stage Power & Networking Cables DBD removal only (does not perform any scanning) Follows procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, standard procedures, and with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads Physical audits of datacenter assets Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) Need to be open to 75% travel The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.
