About The Position

A growing commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Traveling Commercial Superintendent to oversee nationwide projects from ground-up through completion. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily site operations, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and ensuring quality and safety standards are upheld across multiple commercial construction projects. This position requires a proactive and results-driven professional who can effectively collaborate with clients, project teams, and field personnel while maintaining project momentum and accountability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial construction experience with ground-up project exposure preferred
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and jobsite operations across multiple locations
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S. for project duration
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with clients and cross-functional teams
  • Experience leading safety initiatives and maintaining compliance documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction documentation tools is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 certification and CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day onsite construction activities across assigned projects nationwide
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and communicate sequencing to all stakeholders
  • Partner closely with project management teams to ensure timely project delivery and alignment with client expectations
  • Lead jobsite safety initiatives, conduct regular safety meetings, and maintain required safety documentation
  • Implement and enforce company safety protocols and quality control standards
  • Manage inspections, punch lists, and project close-out processes including as-built documentation
  • Review construction drawings and specifications, perform constructability reviews, and manage RFIs and submittals
  • Track materials, deliveries, and project progress while maintaining accurate daily logs and reports
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal leadership throughout project lifecycle
