About The Position

The Traveling CNC ESPRIT Programmer provides on‑site CNC programming, optimization, and technical support at multiple customer or company locations. This role requires extensive travel to support new machine installations, production launches, process improvements, and troubleshooting using ESPRIT CAM software . The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, customer‑focused, and experienced in a variety of machining environments.

Requirements

• Strong experience programming CNC machines using ESPRIT CAM software .
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machining and machine setup.
• Proficiency with multi‑axis CNC machines and controllers (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience machining a variety of materials (aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, alloys).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and customer‑facing skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently (50–90%) , including overnight stays.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting multiple facilities or customer sites.
• Background in aerospace, medical device, automotive, or precision manufacturing.
• Experience with machine startups, relocations, or process recovery projects.
• Familiarity with additional CAD/CAM software platforms.
• Technical degree or equivalent hands‑on manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively to customer or company facilities to support CNC programming needs.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using ESPRIT CAM for mills, lathes, mill‑turn, Swiss, and multi‑axis machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
• Define machining strategies, tooling, feeds, speeds, and fixtures for efficient production.
• Perform program simulations in ESPRIT to validate toolpaths and prevent machine collisions.
• Support machine setup, prove‑outs, and first‑article runs on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions on‑site.
• Train and support CNC machinists, programmers, and production personnel as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve processes.
• Document CNC programs, setup instructions, and best practices for handoff to local teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and customer standards at all locations.
