About The Position

The Traveling Caregiver position at BrightStar Care of Lexington involves providing essential personal care services to clients in their homes or communities. This part-time role requires caregivers to travel weekly to meet the needs of various clients, assisting them with daily tasks and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of documented caregiver or home care assistance experience is preferred.
• Certified in CPR and have a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Licensed driver with an insured and reliable automobile and proof of insurance.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide various personal care services as necessary to meet the client's or patient's needs.
• Assist clients with daily tasks, including feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.
• Support clients with active and passive mobility work as defined by the plan of care.
• Document observed changes in the client's condition and report to the Director of Nursing.
