Traveling Assistant Superintendent

HC Company is seeking a motivated Traveling Assistant Superintendent to support project teams across our commercial construction portfolio. This role is designed for individuals with a strong foundation in construction who are ready to take the next step toward a leadership position. Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or equivalent field experience preferred
- 3–5 years of commercial construction experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role
- Familiarity with project management and scheduling software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, MS Office)
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Understanding of construction means and methods, trade coordination, and safety requirements
- A desire to learn, grow, and transition into a Superintendent role with HC Company
Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent in coordinating all on-site construction activities
- Support QA/QC by reviewing installations and verifying materials meet project specifications
- Help develop and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals
- Assist in site planning, staging, and phasing for efficient project delivery
- Monitor and enforce safety standards, participating in safety meetings and audits
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding deliveries, logistics, and scheduling
- Support in tracking RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
- Ensure as-built drawings and reports are kept current under the direction of the Superintendent
- Build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Actively participate in the Safety Committee and promote HC Company’s culture of safety
