About The Position

The Traveling Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects across multiple locations. Working under the direction of the Project Manager, this role helps ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory requirements. This position partners with field leadership and project teams to support efficient project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and with: Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office, Revit, or other project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of basic electrical systems, NEC concepts, and construction workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Basic understanding of construction project management processes
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues appropriately
  • Working knowledge of safety practices and jobsite requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • 2+ years of experience in a construction or project engineering role; electrical contracting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects or working in a fast-paced environment

  • Equivalent electrical or construction field experience may substitute for formal education

Responsibilities

  • Assist the PM in managing day-to-day project operations and administrative tasks.
  • Support the preparation, review, and tracking of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project logs.
  • Help organize weekly project schedules, manpower plans, material deliveries, and long-lead tracking.
  • Attend project meetings (internal and external) and prepare meeting notes or action items.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely distribution of updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct periodic site walks with the PM or Superintendent to observe progress and verify installation compliance.
  • Assist with documenting field conditions, tracking percent of completion, and reporting potential delays.
  • Coordinate with field leadership to ensure alignment on project goals, safety standards, and execution plans.
  • Assist in monitoring labor hours, equipment usage, and material costs.
  • Review purchase orders, delivery tickets, and subcontractor invoices for accuracy.
  • Help prepare weekly project summaries and cost-to-complete updates for leadership.
  • Support communication between clients, general contractors, engineers, and Enterprise Electrical teams.
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with external partners while representing Enterprise Electrical values.
  • Reinforce Enterprise Electrical’s Safety Standards during all site visits.
  • Ensure project activities align with NEC, local codes, and company quality requirements.
  • Assist in project closeout tasks including punch list documentation, as-builts coordination, and turnover packages.
  • Oversee the change management process across all active projects, ensuring all scope changes are identified, assessed, and processed in a timely manner.
  • Support the Project Manager in tracking project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Assist in coordinating material procurement, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure records are current, complete, and compliant.
  • Conduct site walks and inspections to track progress, support quality assurance, and monitor safety compliance.
  • Interface with field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
  • Help prepare weekly reports, project updates, and closeout packages.
  • Participate in pre-construction planning, including constructability reviews and schedule analysis.
  • Ensure project activities align with company standards and client expectations.
