Bring Contemporary Art to New Communities. At One River School of Art & Design, we believe art has the power to transform lives. Since 2012, we’ve built a vibrant network of 15 schools across six states, redefining what art education can be. Now, we’re expanding beyond our studio walls—bringing our innovative, contemporary curriculum directly into libraries, community centers, businesses, camps, after-school programs, and schools throughout New Jersey. We’re looking for passionate, adaptable art educators who are excited to take their creativity on the road. WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT Focus on Teaching, Not Prep We provide the curriculum, lesson plans, and all materials—you bring your artistic energy and teaching talent. Work Across Ages & Communities Teach early childhood, K–12, and adults in dynamic community settings. Flexible Part-Time Schedule Based on your availability, you’ll travel to programs across Bergen, Essex, Morris, and Union Counties. Contemporary Curriculum Lead engaging classes in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Cartooning, Manga, Digital Art, Animation, Design, Street Art, and more. You’ll be an ambassador of creativity—bringing professional-level art education to communities that may not otherwise have access. OUR MISSION At One River School, our mission is to transform art education. We blend contemporary art, social connection, and a proprietary teaching system designed to develop creative capacity at every stage of life. We believe creativity fuels health, happiness, and personal success—and we’re committed to bringing that impact everywhere we go. If you’re excited about expanding your teaching practice beyond the traditional classroom and sharing contemporary art with diverse communities, we’d love to meet you. One River School of Art & Design is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
