Travel X-Ray Technologist – Atlanta & Surrounding Areas Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians is a nationally recognized center of excellence in orthopedic sports medicine, orthopedic spine surgery, and interventional spine care. With locations across the United States, our physicians specialize in state-of-the-art, minimally invasive treatments for complex spine conditions and sports-related injuries. Our mission is to help patients return to active, pain-free lives through compassionate and innovative care. We are currently seeking a Travel X-Ray Technologist to support our clinics throughout Atlanta and surrounding Georgia markets, including Macon, Albany, and nearby locations. This role is ideal for a flexible and experienced technologist who enjoys working in multiple clinic environments and supporting growing teams. Job Summary The Travel X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and medical conditions. This role will travel between assigned clinic locations to provide imaging support while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and imaging quality.

Requirements

  • ARRT Certification required
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
  • Experience with X-ray and C-Arm imaging
  • Ability to work independently across multiple clinic locations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Must maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous orthopedic or spine imaging experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned clinic locations across Atlanta and surrounding areas such as Macon and Albany to provide radiology coverage
  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and instruments based on patient needs
  • Verify patient identity and physician orders; explain procedures to patients clearly and professionally
  • Position patients correctly for radiologic procedures
  • Operate X-ray, fluoroscopy, and C-arm equipment according to established protocols
  • Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety standards
  • Shield patients appropriately and ensure patient comfort during imaging procedures
  • Review images for technical quality and accuracy before submitting to the physician
  • Communicate relevant findings or concerns to the clinical team as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of radiology supplies and ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly cleaned and disinfected
  • Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and clinic staff to ensure smooth patient flow
