Leaders in this job provide the first line of guidance as the working leader for field service technicians who perform major component maintenance and repair activities on wind turbine generator sets. This includes the replacement or up tower repair of major components including but not limited to gearboxes, mainshafts, and generators across multiple platforms such as GE, Siemens, and Vestas. This position requires 80% or more travel.Job OverviewLeaders in this job provide the first line of guidance as the working leader for technicians who perform operations and maintenance support. Employees in this role schedule all routine maintenance, maintain parts inventory, monitor equipment performance, diagnose problems, and make recommendations to optimize efficiency.

Requirements

High School Grad / GED
Experience: 5+ years in a technical field, OR completion of a technical certificate/degree program
Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL)
Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet
Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval

Responsibilities

Assists in the selection and training of team members
Prepares and reviews administrative documentation relating to such things as time sheets and performance evaluations
Assists Site Manager in the preparation of reports regarding operations, maintenance, and budgeting
Maintains a safe work environment
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
