Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining sterile fields for a range of procedures, anticipating the surgeon’s instrument needs, and passing instruments with precision and speed.
• Assisting with instrument counts, specimen handling, and meticulous documentation to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Participating in OR turnover, positioning and draping patients as directed, and supporting the anesthesia team and surgical staff to optimize efficiency and outcomes.
• Collaborating with circulators and nurses to maintain a culture of safety, infection control, and HIPAA-compliant patient care.
• Contributing to a learning environment by sharing techniques, suggesting process improvements, and embracing continuing education opportunities to deepen your surgical tech expertise.
