About The Position

Step into a transformative role as a Speech Language Pathologist in Missouri, Lewistown, and become a pivotal force in shaping communication and quality of life for patients across diverse settings. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to apply clinical expertise with compassion, influence outcomes, and partner with families and care teams to unlock new possibilities. In this state, you’ll find scenic landscapes, welcoming communities, and a backdrop that invites reflection and renewal after impactful days in clinic or school settings. Missouri’s rolling countryside, winding rivers, and abundant outdoor recreation offer moments to unwind and recharge, from peaceful parks along the streams to scenic drives that reveal the Show Me State’s quiet charm. Lewistown’s close-knit atmosphere supports meaningful connections with clients, families, and peers, while the broader travel assignment opens doors to experiences across the U.S.—all while contributing to essential speech, language, and cognitive care. Location benefits go beyond your assigned site. Lewistown provides a welcoming base with access to rural charm, strong community ties, and a practical pace that allows you to focus on tailored patient care. The program also offers the flexibility to rotate to additional locations across Missouri and other states, presenting you with opportunities to broaden your clinical repertoire, collaborate with diverse teams, and discover new approaches to therapy in a variety of environments. You’ll be empowered to explore regional resources, community partners, and local families who value your expertise, while enjoying the security of robust support networks that enhance your travel experience. Missouri’s natural beauty—favorable seasons, nearby lakes and trails, and inviting small towns—complements a professional path designed to challenge and reward you, both personally and professionally. In this role, you’ll evaluate and treat a broad range of communication disorders, including articulation, language development, fluency, voice, resonance, literacy-related concerns, and cognitive-communication challenges. You’ll design individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices, implement targeted interventions, and monitor progress with clear documentation. Collaboration is central: you’ll partner with teachers, physicians, parents, caregivers, and other therapists to align goals and ensure continuity of care. You may support pediatric populations, adult clients, or a combination, applying augmentative and alternative communication strategies and feeding/swallowing considerations where appropriate. The role also calls for ongoing professional development, participation in team meetings, data-driven treatment adjustments, and education for families on home practice to maximize outcomes. You’ll be encouraged to lead with empathy, maintain clinical integrity, and pursue opportunities for specialization and advancement within the field of speech-language pathology. This assignment begins December 29, 2025, for multiple weeks with the potential for extension, allowing you to deepen your impact over time.
