Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across pediatric and adult populations.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, track progress, and adjust interventions to maximize outcomes.
  • Deliver early language development services for children, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies, fluency shaping, voice therapy, articulation, language comprehension, and feeding/swallowing therapy as clinically indicated.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational and physical therapists, educators, and families, to coordinate care, set goals, and transfer skills to home, school, and community environments.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy, regulatory, and facility standards; communicate clearly with caregivers and care teams.
  • Provide family/caregiver training, coaching, and resources to support carryover of skills at home and in school settings; participate in school-based and clinical settings as needed, with a flexible approach to service delivery (in-person and telepractice as appropriate).
  • Engage in ongoing professional growth with access to specialized certifications, mentoring, and continuing education opportunities to deepen expertise within the speech-language pathology discipline.
