About The Position
The Labor & Delivery RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases. The nurse will work collaboratively with OB physicians, midwives, anesthesia providers, and neonatal teams to ensure safe maternal and fetal outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience in a hospital setting
- Strong L&D clinical skills including high-risk labor management
- 100-Mile Radius Rule Applies – All RNs must reside outside a 100-mile radius
- Driver’s License required at submission for address verification
Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Administer medications including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and epidurals (as applicable)
- Interpret fetal heart tracings and respond appropriately
- Provide patient and family education
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies
