About The Position

Heartline Staffing, a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment supporting an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital in Mission Hills, California. This role supports a high-volume Interventional Radiology department performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a hospital setting. POSITION SUMMARY The Interventional Radiology Technologist supports physicians during complex interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting with equipment setup and procedural workflow in a hospital-based IR department. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS This is a day shift position working four 10-hour shifts from 07:30 to 18:00. On-call coverage is required, including one weekday overnight call from 18:00 to 07:00 and every other weekend. Candidates must be able to respond within 30 minutes while on call. The assignment length is 13 weeks with an anticipated start date of 02/09/2026. The Interventional Radiology department performs advanced abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, and vascular procedures. Charting is completed in Epic. Scrubs may be any color with L&D and OR scrubs provided. Free parking is available.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience is required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Experience assisting with interventional radiology procedures including angiography, embolization, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and vascular interventions is required.
  • Ability to set up equipment, circulate rooms, scrub while maintaining a sterile field, and support physicians during procedures is required.
  • Experience with vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose is required.
  • On-call availability is required, including every other weekend and one weekday overnight call.
  • Ability to respond within 30 minutes while on call is required.
  • Valid California state license must be in hand prior to start date.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience is required per client guidelines.
  • Commitment to working 3 of the 5 major holidays is required.
  • Requested time off must be included at time of submission and limited per client guidelines.
