Travel RN - Emergency Department (ED)
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department (ED) Travel RN for a fast-paced, high-acuity unit. This position offers a 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM shift and requires flexibility, as block scheduling is not guaranteed. The ED includes 64 beds and serves a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to geriatrics. The unit manages a wide range of critical conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Nurses will work with advanced equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun, and must be comfortable administering a variety of drips including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedation, and other critical care medications. Floating is required, and candidates with charge nurse experience are highly preferred. Scrub color is navy blue.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience (including some pediatrics)
- Travel ED experience REQUIRED
- Active New York RN License (verified via NURSYS)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (AHA) certifications REQUIRED
- TNCC REQUIRED
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Valid driver’s license with matching demographics
- RTO must be included at time of submission
- Up-to-date resume reflecting required experience and travel background
