Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgical ICU! This is a night shift position with a pay rate of $70 per hour. The unit consists of 20 beds where nurses handle 1-2 patients based on acuity level. Nurses provide service to patients who have undergone open heart surgeries such as CABG, valve repair or replacement, aneurysm repair, TAVR, ablations, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support devices including the Total Artificial Heart and ECMO, as well as various lung surgeries. They manage critically ill patients requiring intensive hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, multiple drug infusions, IABP therapy, and CRRT.
