You'll work closely with experienced professionals who are passionate about retail construction and design. Your Role As an Installer/Capenter, your main focus will be building and assembly while training with our Carpenters on tasks including but not limited to, building/demo of shelving units, fixtures (sink/toilets/grab bars/racking), signage/graphics, displays, drywall, flooring etc. during new store builds and remodel projects. You will learn skills such as precise measuring/cutting, painting, tape and float drywall, LVT flooring installation, and more. Experience with store remodels, store setup crews, big box retail experience and /or new store openings is highly desired. The average schedule allows you to work 8-10 hour days (may require overtime). Qualifying travel expenses are reimbursed. All employees will be required to have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, proof of vehicle insurance (state to state commute)
Ability to travel extensively for projects nationwide (90-100% travel)
Able to drive up to 750 Miles at one time, in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursements/travel pay and bonus provided)
Must provide tools for personal use
Must be physically able to stand for long periods, kneel, bend, reach and lift/carry up to 60lbs
Capable and willing to present a professional image of Merchco Services to our clients and retail personnel
Must have a personal banking account for direct deposit
Must have a device with internet for email and app-based programs
Must be willing to share rooms when the project requires double occupancy
Willing and open to taking direction/training from leadership
Practical knowledge and use of tape measure, hand saw and other power tools and able to cut a straight line.

Nice To Haves

Experience with store remodels, store setup crews, big box retail experience and /or new store openings is highly desired
Retail new store set-up/remodel experience is a plus
Forklift experience desired for Installer position (company certification provided)

Complete general paperwork
Millwork/Display/Fixture Assembly and Demo
Signage installation
Assemble components like fitting rooms, floating desks and shelving, and level/install owner supplied FF&E millwork
