About The Position

This travel program offers the opportunity to work for a single company with one recruiter from start to finish and assignment to assignment. Both local and non-local positions are available, offering a competitive hourly rate in addition to a tax-free stipend (if applicable) and no pay cuts mid-contract. The program also includes a referral bonus (up to $1000 per referral!) and license reimbursement if traveling to a new state where a new license is required. Employees can choose assignments at partner facilities from various health systems across the country. The position is responsible for providing efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the scope of the department's policy/procedure manual. It also involves performing support activities such as equipment maintenance, changes, inventory, and setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor
  • Documented proof of obtained degrees for regulatory compliance purposes
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or approved for a valid religious or medical exemption (unvaccinated employees on an approved exemption must submit to weekly COVID-19 testing and wear a respirator at all times while in the facility)

  • One (1) year critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care experience

  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
