Location Benefits: Laconia presents the best of New England living with a welcoming, safe community, scenic outdoors, and easy access to both lakeside leisure and urban amenities. You’ll benefit from a supportive local healthcare environment that values teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered care. The region affords abundant opportunities to unwind after shifts—stroll along tranquil waterfronts, enjoy seasonal fairs, savor farm-to-table dining, and explore nearby mountain trails or winter ski escapes. At the same time, the program’s broader footprint can place you in other appealing locales across the United States, opening doors to assignments in different hospital settings, specialties, and patient demographics. Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Respiratory Therapist in this travel assignment, you’ll perform comprehensive respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients as appropriate, under physician direction and evidence-based standards. Responsibilities include conducting initial and ongoing patient assessments, selecting and administering prescribed airway clearance therapies, ventilator management and troubleshooting, humidification and aerosol therapy, inhalation treatments, oxygen titration, and troubleshooting equipment to prevent interruptions in care. You’ll monitor patient responses, interpret results of arterial blood gases when required, document outcomes accurately, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and respiratory care teams to optimize treatment plans. You’ll assist with weaning protocols, participate in rounds, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. The role also emphasizes infection control, safety checks, and equipment maintenance to uphold the highest standards of patient protection. Growth opportunities abound: pursue continued education and specialty certifications, gain exposure to advanced modalities, and position yourself for extended assignments or leadership roles within the travel program. In addition to competitive compensation, you’ll receive a sign-on bonus where applicable, housing assistance to minimize relocation stress, and extension opportunities that recognize your contributions and reliability.
