About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel Registered Nurse – Night Shift for an exciting job in Rochester, NY.
Requirements
- Active RN License (NY or Compact)
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- EPIC experience required
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Competency in: IV insertion and peripheral line management
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Rapid Response and Code Team utilization
- Oxygen delivery systems (nasal cannula, oxygen tanks)
- Non-invasive airway management
- Isolation precautions
Nice To Haves
- Previous Charge Nurse experience
- Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to patient condition changes
- Utilize Rapid Response and Code Teams appropriately
- Administer oxygen therapy and manage non-invasive airways
- Maintain peripheral IV lines (PICC placement handled by dedicated PICC team)
- Adhere to infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Float to other units as needed
