Sentara Norfolk General Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse for the Stepdown/Med-Surg Admissions/Discharge Unit! Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Stepdown/Med-Surg Sentara Norfolk General Hospital - Norfolk, VA $70.00/hr pay rate Temporary Full Time 14-week assignment NIGHT Shift No benefits Department/Position Overview: This is a 16 bed Unit. The Nurse: Patient Ratio is 1:4 to 1:5 based on acuity and staffing. Patient Population: IMC/Med Surg- Anticipate DKA, Alcohol Withdrawal, COPD exacerbation, Sickle Cell crisis, CHF exacerbation, Renal Failure, Dehydration, I&D Education Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required Certification/Licensure Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) ACLS NIH Stroke Scale Experience Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience The Registered Nurse will work in a collaborative role as part of a team to maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice, in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community. Requirements

  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale
  • Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
