About The Position

This position is for a Temporary Internal Traveler Registered Nurse (RN) at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. The role is for a 14-week, full-time night shift assignment on a Stepdown/IMCU and Med/Surg mixed unit, which is a 24-bed certified stroke unit caring for stroke/neuro patients, intermediate care patients, and a mix of medical specialties. Patients on this unit require monitoring using portable telemetry monitors. Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is a 174-bed acute care hospital, recognized as an accredited Primary Stroke Center and a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence. It specializes in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, advanced imaging, gynecological, comprehensive breast care services, family maternity, and a neonatal intensive care unit. The hospital also hosts Virginia’s only Ornish Lifestyle Medicine program. Requirements

  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale
  • Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience
