About The Position

Travel Registered Nurse – PCU (Night Shift) Heartline Staffing, a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignments. This role supports high-acuity patients requiring close monitoring, advanced cardiac care, and interdisciplinary coordination. Assignment Details Contract length: 13–16 weeks (varies by assignment) Shift: Night shift, 3x12s (36 hours/week) Schedule: Self-scheduling (no block schedules) Patient population: Adult & geriatric Charting system: Epic

Requirements

• Active RN license (compact or state-specific)
• Minimum 2+ years of high-acuity PCU or higher experience
• Experience with telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• BLS & ACLS required
• NIHSS required
• Epic experience required
• Ability to float within scope as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU/stepdown patients
• Continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring
• Administer IV medications, blood products, and cardiac drips
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Document care accurately in Epic
• Respond to patient condition changes and escalate appropriately
