Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care, including initial recovery, airway assessment, hemodynamic monitoring, pain management, and ongoing evaluation for nausea or emergent complications.
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesia teams, surgeons, and postoperative units to develop and execute individualized recovery plans, ensuring safe discharges and accurate handoffs.
  • Perform timely assessments, document findings, administer medications per protocol, respond to emergencies, and escalate concerns with urgency and clarity.
  • Support patients and families with clear communication, education on postoperative care, and guidance through the recovery trajectory.
