Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients, including admission assessments, ongoing monitoring, vital sign trends, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, catheter care, and post‑op recovery support.
• Implement and revise care plans based on changing patient conditions, coordinate with physicians, specialists, case managers, and families to optimize discharge planning.
• Monitor telemetry, manage pain, assist with mobility and activities of daily living, and ensure safety and infection control standards.
• Document accurately in the electronic health record, advocate for evidence-based practices, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Seek continuous professional development in med surg competencies, telemetry certification, acute care protocols, and patient education strategies.
