About The Position
Travel Registered Nurse – Med-Surg / Telemetry (MS/Tele) Location: Rochester, NY 14621 Contract Length: 13 Weeks Assignment Type: Travel (Strictly Travel Candidates Only) Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $48.00 – $58.00 per hour Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,656 – $2,001 Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) Important Traveler Requirements This position is exclusively for Travel RNs Radius Rule: Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible Licensure: Active New York State RN License required (NY is a non-compact state; pending licenses not accepted) Key Responsibilities Telemetry & Cardiac Monitoring: Interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes Acute Patient Care: Manage a 1:5 patient ratio caring for patients with complex medical conditions such as diabetes, pulmonary disorders, and multi-system illnesses Emergency Response: Initiate and collaborate with Rapid Response and Code Teams for patient deterioration Clinical Skills: Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, oxygen delivery (nasal cannula, tanks), and non-invasive airway support Documentation: Complete all charting and clinical documentation using EPIC Floating: Willingness to float to other units within scope of competency as needed Qualifications Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care setting First-time travelers are welcome Certifications: Current BLS (AHA) required Technical Skills: EPIC charting experience ( required ) Strong IV management and isolation precaution skills Proficient in cardiac rhythm and dysrhythmia interpretation For more details contact at [email protected] or Call / Text at 516-862-1169. Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience in an acute care setting
- Active New York State RN License required (NY is a non-compact state; pending licenses not accepted)
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- EPIC charting experience ( required )
- Strong IV management and isolation precaution skills
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm and dysrhythmia interpretation
