About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Orange, California. This is a very high-risk Labor and Delivery unit caring for complex pregnancy diagnoses including preterm labor, hypertension, multiples, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, fetal anomalies, IUFD, diabetes, and other obstetric complications. Shift: 3x12 Nights (19:00–07:30) Weekend coverage per hospital scheduling procedures Must be flexible; weekends may exceed every other weekend based on unit needs No travel pairs No first-time travelers

Requirements

Licensure: Active California RN license required in hand; no temporary licenses accepted.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience (HARD STOP). Seasoned traveler required; no first-time travelers.
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
Skills Required: Must be able to circulate for C-sections; high-risk L&D experience; external fetal monitoring; recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns; magnesium sulfate administration; insulin drips; antihypertensives; D&C; cerclage.
Charting: Epic.
Floating: Travelers expected to float between all facilities within the state if required.
Scheduling: 3x12 Nights (19:00–07:30); scheduling requests due to outside employment not considered.
RTO: ALL RTO must be submitted at time of submission.
Holiday Commitment: Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.
Local Radius: 50 miles; locals accepted at lower bill rate.
Travel Pairs: Not accepted.
